Stress and the effects on the human body

I’ve been a chiropractor for nearly 20 years and I feel like I’m still learning. In fact, when it comes to physiology and the nervous system, the more I learn the more I realise just how complicated and special our bodies are. One of my favourite seminars of recent times was dedicated to the study of the tone in our nervous system and how to reduce the stress in our bodies with simple, softer spinal adjustments. This addresses the question of how much force is needed during treatment from us chiropractors.

When we feel wound up, uptight or stressed out there’s a good chance that it’s simply a  symptom of a spine and nervous system that are out of balance. By treating clients from a place of ease and peace using soft, precise adjustments it is possible to have a profound effect on the state of stress or tone in an individual’s nervous system. The more at ease we are, the more balanced our nervous system and therefore, the less likely we are to suffer from aches, pains and other symptoms of ill health.

I have taken this new found knowledge on board and incorporated more relaxing and ease inducing techniques to help my clients achieve the best possible results from chiropractic care.
